Check that you fit

WEH Ventures is an early-stage venture fund with offices in Mumbai and Bengaluru, both labelled as headquarters on its contact page. It describes itself as a high-conviction fund that invests in high-potential founders building what the market does not yet have. Its funds are registered with SEBI as alternative investment funds: Fund I as a Category I angel fund, Fund II as a Category II fund and Fund III as a Category I fund, with WEH Venture Partners LLP named as investment manager of Fund I.

It says it is happy to jam on ideas even before there is a deal, and to move quickly when something is obviously exciting. After investing it hosts regular founder dinners and sector deep-dives, and connects experienced founders with those early in the journey. On its team page it says the team has had over 8,000 conversations with founders.

How to reach them

The contact page asks founders to fill in a form, opened from a button on the page, for any query. It says WEH has a lean internal process and will get back in a couple of weeks. The same pitch form is linked from the footer of every page. The site does not publish a pitch inbox, an application window, a cohort or a deadline, so treat it as an investor that takes inbound pitches rather than a programme with intake dates.

The team page lists Deepak Gupta as Partner, Rohit Krishna and an investment team. Its legal page lists the fund sponsors and trustees for each fund and a SEBI grievance process for investors.
