What is the duration of the program?

The program will run up to 12 months, with the exact duration tailored to the stage and maturity of the innovation.

Who can apply to the SpIN program?

Innovators and entrepreneurs with transformative SpaceTech solutions that can generate deep social and commercial impact. Applications are accepted in two categories: Foundational Technologies (for space deployment) and Downstream Applications (for terrestrial use of space data).

What happens if I apply to the wrong category?

In such cases, the organizers will reassign your application to the appropriate category based on your product's focus. However, you might miss category-specific questions, so it is advisable to choose carefully.

Is there any preference for a particular type of innovation?

Preference is given to tech-based innovations that address real-world challenges within the Space ecosystem and demonstrate high social and environmental impact potential. Innovations can be either products or services.

Will I be eligible to receive funding by program partners upon selection?

Eligibility for funding is determined on a case-by-case basis. Some winners of the Innovation Challenge may be considered for Seed Investment, pending successful due diligence by program partners.

Do I have to be physically present for any cohort-based sessions?

Physical presence is expected for programmatic events like the launch and demo day. For the rest of the program, participants have the flexibility to work remotely from a location of their choice. Online attendance for webinars/sessions is acceptable.

Is the mentoring paid or free?

Mentoring is part of the continuous engagement. Some mentor support, particularly from the internal ecosystem, is provided pro-bono as part of the incubation services. However, some specialized mentor support may incur a notional or actual cost, which will be mutually agreed upon. Participation in additional events might also be subject to a nominal fee.

What will be the terms and conditions of the incubation support?

Winners of the Innovation Challenge may receive credits for standard incubation services, including access to office space, GTM support, and product development mentoring. Accessing additional premium services may require a separate agreement with the relevant agency.

How frequently will the organizers interface with the winners during the program?

There will be regular interaction between the winning teams and the Innovation program implementation team. Each startup will be assigned a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) to assist with customized requests and ensure continuous engagement.

Can I find other funding partners for investments?

Yes, winning startups are encouraged to seek and secure funding from other partners for investments.
