About this Opportunity

The Agri Sandbox 2025 is a platform for next-generation Agri technologies, hosted by AgHub, PJTSAU, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and the Government of Telangana.

The program's core objective is to act as a validating platform for Agritech solutions by offering a regulated environment for testing, validation, and certification across three levels: technology lab, agriculture research facilities, and test farms.

Eligibility

  • Applicant Type: Open to Agri Innovators and Tech Disruptors (Startups, innovators, etc.).
  • Solution Stage: Solutions should be ready for validation and acceleration (Post-Prototype/MVP stage). The role of the sandbox is to provide support on product development, mentoring, validation, and acceleration.
  • Focus Areas: Solutions must be in Agritech domains, including:
    • Climate risk & crop intelligence (AI/Remote sensing).
    • Energy-efficient cold chains.
    • Waste-to-value & bio-based tech (Biogas/Biochar/Compost).
    • Agri automation & robotics.
    • Farm mechanization & smart irrigation.
    • Digital watershed & water accounting solutions.
    • Food safety, grading & quality assessment.
    • Seed quality assurance tech.

Application Process

  1. Application: Innovators submit their application.
  2. Validation & Incubation: Shortlisted solutions are incubated and deployed for testing and validation for one season in the three-level sandbox environment (technology lab, research facilities, and test farms).
  3. Support: Selected startups receive the Pilot Grant Support up to ₹20 Lakhs, institutional mentorship, and market exposure to co-develop resilient, tech-enabled, and farmer-centric solutions.
