CodeShield Hackathon 1.0 is a dynamic, cybersecurity-focused hackathon designed to inspire innovation and problem-solving among participants. Organized by Sri Indu College of Engineering and Technology in collaboration with Naksh Foundation (under Project CyberShield), this event provides a unique platform for individuals and teams to conceptualize, design, and develop their own cybersecurity defense tools.
Who Should Apply
This hackathon is open to individuals and teams interested in cybersecurity. Participants are encouraged to identify real-world challenges and create unique, impactful solutions, showcasing their creativity and technical skills on a national level. Teams can consist of 1 to 3 members.
Tracks / Themes
Participants are not restricted to predefined problem statements but are encouraged to propose their own cybersecurity defense tools. Possible project areas include:
- Password strength checking tools
- Phishing detection systems
- Vulnerability scanning tools
- Network monitoring tools
- Malware detection tools
- Encryption & data protection tools
Format & Timeline
The hackathon will be conducted in three phases:
- Phase 1: Registration – Participants must register by paying the applicable fee. Registration Deadline: April 25, 2026.
- Phase 2: Idea Presentation – From April 29 to May 1, 2026. Participants are required to present their original cybersecurity defense tool idea. No problem statements will be provided.
- Phase 3: Final Presentation (MVP/Working Model) – On May 8 & 10, 2026. Participants must present a working Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or a functional prototype of their solution, which serves as a key evaluation criterion.
Prizes
The winning team will receive a cash prize pool of ₹10,000. Additionally, participants will have opportunities for exciting rewards, recognition, and certificates for participation. This hackathon is a platform where innovation meets real-world impact, and ideas transform into practical solutions.
Eligibility
Open to individuals and teams of 1 to 3 members. This is a national-level competition, welcoming participants from across India.
