About this competition
Sarvam Epoch Buildathon by GrowthX is an 8-hour, in-person AI buildathon organised by GrowthX in partnership with Sarvam, India's frontier AI company. The event is powered by Lightspeed and Bessemer Venture Partners and supported by Razorpay. It brings together 200 carefully curated builders — founders, engineers, product leaders, researchers, and operators — to build voice agents, document intelligence, and multilingual AI products on Sarvam's full-stack sovereign AI platform.
Who Should Apply This buildathon is for serious builders who know how to ship: founders building AI companies, engineers shipping models/agents/products, product leaders taking AI to millions, researchers pushing the frontier, and operators/growth engineers turning AI capability into real products. The room is curated — every attendee must be individually approved.
Format & Timeline The buildathon runs for 8 hours on July 26, 2026, from 10 AM to 6 PM IST, at Razorpay's Arena Office in Koramangala, Bengaluru (exact venue revealed upon approval). Every builder receives 5,000 Sarvam credits to build on Sarvam's stack. The top 10 teams will present their projects at Sarvam Epoch, India's Frontier AI Conference, on July 30, where leading investors, founders, AI leaders, and decision-makers from NVIDIA, AWS, HCLTech, Zepto, Swiggy, Razorpay, and other top AI companies will be present.
Prizes Total cash prize pool of ₹10,00,000. Beyond cash, the top 10 projects get the opportunity to demo at Sarvam Epoch — India's biggest AI product launch event — in front of investors, founders, and decision-makers.
Eligibility Open to all serious AI builders. GrowthX membership is not required. Teams are allowed, but each team member must register and be approved individually. Non-members are welcome.
About the Organiser GrowthX is an India-based founder and operator community that runs curated events for builders across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, and Jaipur. Sarvam is India's frontier AI company building a full-stack sovereign AI platform. The buildathon is powered by Lightspeed and Bessemer Venture Partners, two of the world's leading venture capital firms, and supported by Razorpay, India's leading payments platform.

Every builder also receives 5,000 Sarvam credits to build on Sarvam's full-stack sovereign AI platform. Meals and refreshments are provided during the 8-hour build day at Razorpay's Arena Office in Bengaluru.
