Captain’s Code – Blind Typing Challenge

Captain’s Code – Blind Typing Challenge is a typing competition organized as part of Zettaabyte 5.0, the annual tech festival of Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts and Commerce (TRCAC), Mumbai. This solo event is designed to test participants' typing speed, accuracy, listening skills, concentration, and ability to type without visual assistance through three challenging rounds.

Competition Rounds

• Round 1 – The Speed Trial: Participants are given a passage to type within 1 minute, testing typing speed and accuracy.
• Round 2 – Echoes of the Code: Participants listen to a two-line sentence and type exactly what they hear, testing listening ability, concentration, and typing accuracy.
• Round 3 – The Reverse Keystroke: Participants receive a passage in reverse format and must correctly interpret and type the content, testing focus, accuracy, and handling of challenging text.

Judging Criteria Participants are evaluated on typing speed, typing accuracy, completion time, correctness of typed content, and overall performance across all three rounds. The final ranking is based on the participant's overall score.

Rules

• Solo event; participants compete individually.
• Each participant can register and participate only once.
• Follow all instructions from event coordinators.
• Any cheating or unfair assistance leads to disqualification.
• Complete each round within the specified time.
• Use only systems and resources provided by organizers.
• Any attempt to manipulate the competition or scoring system may lead to immediate disqualification.
• Organizers' and judges' decisions are final.

• Open to college students.
• No previous competitive typing experience required; beginners are welcome.
• Basic computer and typing knowledge expected.
• Participants must report to the venue before the event begins.
• Carry college ID card if required.
