The centre states it was set up as a Section 8 company in 2023 to run an Atal Incubation Centre under the Atal Innovation Mission, and NIPER Guwahati appears on NITI Aayog's published list of Atal Incubation Centres for Kamrup, Assam, with 2023 as its year of establishment. Neither source says how long the mission's support runs, so whether that funding is still current cannot be told from published material.

Listed at entry 163 of the Ministry's published List of Host Institutes for the incubation component of the MSME Innovative Scheme, as "AIC NIPER GUWAHATI Foundation" (KAMRUP, ASSAM), checked 24 September 2026.
