Grant schemeAIC RAISE announced a Rs 4 crore seed fund under the national SISFS scheme.
SISFS terms are set centrally by DPIIT, so the scheme ceiling (up to Rs 20 lakh for proof of concept, up to Rs 50 lakh for market entry) can be checked independently of AIC RAISE. The Rs 4 crore is the pool AIC RAISE has to disburse, not a per-startup figure.

Both matter for different reasons. The Atal Innovation Mission designation is what makes AIC RAISE a funded incubator rather than a campus initiative, and the SISFS approval is what lets it write cheques at all — its Rs 4 crore pool is national scheme money.

AIC RAISE is an Atal Incubation Centre in Coimbatore, hosted by the Rathinam Group of Institutions and established in 2019 under the Atal Innovation Mission. It positions itself as India's first UN SDG-focused startup incubator, and its portfolio bears that out: sustainability, waste management, agriculture, healthcare, mobility, handicrafts and assistive technology, with an explicit emphasis on Tier II, Tier III and rural founders.
The cohort record is the thing to look at. Six cohorts since 2019, sized 9 to 18 startups, each running roughly eight to ten months, recurring close to annually — around 80 startups in total. Publishing dates and cohort sizes is a more concrete form of evidence than most incubators of this size offer, and it means a closed cohort is a timing question rather than a closed door.
Best fit: early-stage founders in Tamil Nadu and the wider south working on climate, clean tech, circular economy, agri or assistive technology — particularly those outside metros, which is the constituency AIC RAISE is explicitly built for.
