इस प्रतियोगिता के बारे में
The National Startup Awards 6.0, featuring a special category for Student Innovators and Aspiring Entrepreneurs, is a prestigious initiative by Startup India, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. This program aims to ignite and foster innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among young minds across India, from school-aged children to undergraduate students. By recognizing and rewarding student-led projects, the award seeks to identify and promote early-stage solutions that address real-world problems with clear potential for scalability and significant impact.
Participants are encouraged to develop their ideas into tangible outputs such as prototypes, Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), working models, or proofs of concept. The projects must align with one of seven crucial "Shakti Ki Sapta Dhara" national development streams, covering diverse areas like Manufacturing, Agriculture and Food Processing, Technology and Innovation, Gati Shakti connectivity, Defence Shakti, Green and Blue Economy, and Soft Power. चयन प्रक्रिया
The selection process for the National Startup Awards 6.0 Student Innovator / Aspiring Entrepreneur category is a multi-stage, rigorous evaluation designed to identify the most innovative and impactful student projects.
- Online Application Screening: Initial applications submitted through the Startup India portal are screened for completeness and adherence to basic eligibility criteria and thematic alignment.
- State/UT Level Evaluation: Following the initial screening, applications undergo evaluation by State/UT Startup Nodal Agencies. These agencies play a crucial role in outreach, providing initial mentorship to applicants, and conducting a thorough evaluation based on a common scoresheet. Each State/UT has the prerogative to nominate up to 10 deserving teams to proceed to the national level.
- National Jury Presentation: Nominated teams are then invited to present their innovative projects before a distinguished National Jury. This presentation round is organized according to the four age-based sub-categories to ensure fair evaluation within peer groups.
- Scoring Criteria: Projects are rigorously scored based on predefined criteria to ensure a holistic assessment:
- Innovation/Originality and Problem-Solving (50% weightage): This evaluates the novelty and uniqueness of the solution, as well as its effectiveness in addressing a significant problem.
- Scalability (30% weightage): This assesses the potential for the project to grow, be replicated, and reach a wider audience or market, demonstrating long-term viability.
- Economic Impact (20% weightage): This considers the potential positive contribution of the project to the economy, society, and various stakeholders.
- Final Selection: Based on the comprehensive evaluation by the National Jury, one winner and one runner-up are ultimately selected for each of the four sub-categories. National winners are announced around National Startup Day, January 16, 2027.
