The ASPIRE-TBI startup list names twelve current and twelve graduated companies; the ASPIRE home page gives the same centre eight incubating and twenty graduated. Neither is dated, so we publish no startup count. Figures shown against ASPIRE-BioNEST and ASPIRE-TIDE on the same pages belong to those centres, not to TBI.

- Outside founders are welcome. ASPIRE says its centres serve entrepreneurs from the campus and from the surrounding region, and nothing in the application asks about university affiliation.
How selection works: not published. The application asks for your research background, publications and patents alongside a business plan covering product development, core competence, team, execution timelines and commercial potential.

ASPIRE publishes a Startup India Seed Fund page in its own name, with a link through to the national seed fund portal. The scheme supports proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry and commercialisation, and is meant to get a startup to the point where it can raise from investors or borrow from a bank.
Who can apply
- A startup recognised by DPIIT, incorporated not more than two years before applying.
- It must have a business idea for a product or service with market fit, viable commercialisation and room to scale.
- It must use technology in its core product or service, business model, distribution model or method.
- Indian promoters must hold at least 51 per cent at the time of applying.
- It must not already carry substantial support under another central or state government scheme. Prize money, subsidised workspace, a founder allowance, lab access and prototyping access do not count against you.
- Preference goes to work in social impact, waste and water management, financial inclusion, education, agriculture, food processing, biotechnology, healthcare, energy, mobility, defence, space, railways, oil and gas and textiles.
How selection works: ASPIRE's page says only that the fund is disbursed to eligible startups on merit through incubators across India.

ASPIRE runs EcoInnovate with HDFC Bank Parivartan, the bank's corporate social responsibility programme. ASPIRE says it was one of sixteen incubators selected for Parivartan grants in the scheme's eighth edition, and signed the agreement at its foundation day in February 2025. The published application window ran from 22 January to 7 February 2025, so this call has closed — the page still shows an open banner, which contradicts its own dates. Treat it as a programme to watch rather than one you can apply to today.

Technology Business Incubator supported by DST-NSTEDB· 2008
ASPIRE-TBI states on its own site that the technology business incubator at the University of Hyderabad was sanctioned by the National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board of the Department of Science & Technology, and that TBI at UoH is a joint programme of the university and DST. It also appears in DST's published list of Technology Business Incubators. TBI@UoH was registered as a society on 10 March 2008; ASPIRE's about page gives 2006 as the sanction year while the TBI site gives 2008. Neither DST's list nor the provider's pages give a funding period, so whether the support is current cannot be told. Checked 25 September 2026.

About ASPIRE-TBI, University of Hyderabad
