CIMP-BIIF, the Section 8 incubator arm of Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna, supports startups with mentoring, a plug-and-play office and co-working space.

What you get

  • Mentoring from institutional and external mentors
  • Seed funding support for Bihar startups approved by the state Department of Industries
  • Support on product development, go-to-market strategy, financial management and launch
  • Co-working space at B-HUB for startups allotted seats

Who can apply

  • Startups registered in Bihar, not older than five years at the date of application, for seed funding
  • Startups registered outside Bihar, for mentoring only, under the Startup India scheme

How selection works: Projects submit a basic business plan. An institutional mentor then helps build a detailed plan, which takes around 16 weeks. The plan goes to the state Department of Industries for seed funding approval.

Full-time PGDM programme in innovation, entrepreneurship and venture development, with pre-incubation support, sponsored by the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar.

The PGDM-IEV is a full-time academic programme for people who want to start their own enterprise after their studies. It combines pre-incubation support with live product development, proof-of-concept testing, compliance, IPR management and commercialisation.

Who can apply

  • A bachelor's degree from a university or institution recognised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India
  • Final-year graduates who complete their degree by 31 August 2026

How selection works: Shortlisting is based on academic record, work experience and a statement of purpose. Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview.
