Kunal Bahl introduced the term on stage at TechSparks in September 2024, and Titan Capital published the first index in October 2024 with 186 companies, screened with data partner Tracxn. A 2025 edition identified 202 companies. TiE Delhi-NCR is the ecosystem partner. The firm says a third edition is in preparation; no date for it has been published.
