इस ग्रांट के बारे में
The MeitY-nasscom Center of Excellence offers a Zero Equity Incubation Program designed to support and promote the emerging technologies ecosystem in India. As a collaborative initiative between the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and NASSCOM, the CoE is dedicated to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship by addressing the foundational challenges faced by startups. MeitY, a key government ministry, drives India's digital transformation and policies, while NASSCOM serves as India's premier trade body and chamber of commerce for the technology industry, representing over 3000 companies. Their joint mandate is to accelerate India's position as a global hub for technological innovation and startup growth.
This incubation program is structured to provide substantial non-monetary support, focusing on enabling founders to concentrate on their core innovation without the burden of equity dilution. It emphasizes building and scaling by offering critical resources that are often inaccessible or costly for early-stage ventures. The program itself does not offer direct cash grants but facilitates an environment conducive to growth by removing common barriers and providing a robust ecosystem.
Startups participating in the program can leverage a range of resources for product development and operational efficiency. These include access to a subsidized co-working space and a prototyping lab, essential for hardware and deeptech innovations, allowing startups to build and test their products. Participants also benefit from shared GPU access, crucial for AI and machine learning development that requires significant computational power, alongside valuable cloud credits from leading providers to support their technological infrastructure. This comprehensive infrastructure support aims to reduce operational costs and accelerate development cycles.
Beyond physical and digital infrastructure, the program provides strategic market access opportunities with established enterprises and government bodies, helping startups find their first customers, validate their solutions, and scale their reach. Mentorship is a key component, offering tailored guidance from seasoned industry experts, successful entrepreneurs, and technical specialists, alongside connections to potential funding sources through investor networking events and pitch sessions. Female founders receive additional support through a rental subsidy for their incubation seats, promoting inclusivity and encouraging greater participation of women in the deeptech startup ecosystem, addressing historical disparities.
