About this Opportunity

The MeitY TIDE 2.0 Grant Program, implemented through IIT Mandi Catalyst, provides financial and technical support to young innovators and startups engaged in ICT-enabled ideas, primarily in Electronics and Communication solutions.

The scheme’s purpose is to bridge the gap between Proof of Concept (PoC) and Prototype/MVP by helping innovators test their ideas and develop a viable prototype ready for commercialization. The period of prototyping support can be up to 12 months.

The grant is up to ₹7 Lakhs per startup and is intended for:

Prototyping and product development.
Facilitating IPR filings.
Holistic incubation support, including co-working space, mentoring, and networking.

Eligibility

The applicant must be a citizen of India.
The idea must fall within the listed focus areas (Electronics and Communication, ICT-enabled solutions).
The solution should address societal challenges in the seven thematic areas of national concern: Healthcare, Education, Agriculture, Financial inclusion, Infrastructure and transportation, Environment and cleantech, Clean energy, and other emerging ICT areas.
The startup should have a definite Proof of Concept (PoC) which is to be further developed into a Prototype or Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
Educational requirement (General TIDE 2.0 Grant): Minimum 4 years of formal full-time undergraduate/postgraduate education in science or engineering (or equivalent with work experience).
The startup should be incorporated in India with a minimum 51% of its equity held by Indian citizens (General TIDE 2.0 requirement).
