Who is eligible for PearX?

Any founder starting a company is eligible to apply to PearX. Most founders who join PearX haven't raised any money beforehand, though some teams have raised up to $2M when we invest.

How does Pear choose teams for PearX?

We have an open application process and each company is reviewed by an investor on our team. If you are selected, there is one interview followed by a partner meeting where you will pitch to our team.

How much do you invest?

We invest between $250K and $2M, depending on your stage and capital needs.

What if it's just me and I don't have a co-founder? Can I still apply?

Absolutely—we welcome solo founders. If you're looking for a co-founder, we can help with that too.

Is PearX an accelerator?

Yes, but not your average one. Most accelerators run large batches with dozens or hundreds of companies that get minimal individual attention. By design, each PearX cohort is no more than ~25 companies so founders get dedicated time with partners.

Does PearX happen in person or virtually? What if I'm not based in SF?

All PearX teams are required to relocate to the SF Bay Area for the duration of the program. We've found that companies have the best outcomes when they participate in person with the Pear team and other founders in the cohort.

PearX is a highly selective, small-batch accelerator program run by Pear VC, based in the heart of the Silicon Valley (Palo Alto / San Francisco Bay Area, USA). Designed for pre-seed companies, the program aims to provide intense, personalized support to help founders build and scale their startups. It operates two cohorts annually, in winter (January–April) and summer (July–October), ensuring a focused and intimate environment for participants.

The program goes beyond just capital, offering a comprehensive suite of resources tailored to the needs of early-stage startups. Participants benefit from immersive retreats, regular one-on-one meetings with Pear partners, specialized workshops, and founder-to-founder mentorship. A key aspect of PearX is its hands-on approach to company building, including dedicated support for sales development, customer discovery, and early talent acquisition. The ultimate goal is to prepare companies for successful fundraising, culminating in a Demo Day where founders pitch to a wide network of top-tier investors.

PearX boasts a strong track record, with a high percentage of its alumni companies going on to raise significant follow-on funding and achieve substantial valuations, underscoring its effectiveness in nurturing high-potential startups.

PearX offers a significant equity investment ranging from US$250,000 (approx. ₹2.12 crore) to US$2,000,000 (approx. ₹17 crore) per company, tailored to stage and capital needs. Beyond funding, participants receive over US$1,000,000 (approx. ₹8.5 crore) in cloud credits from leading partners like Microsoft Azure and OpenAI. The 12-week program provides a small, intimate cohort experience with deep engagement, including a 'Camp Pear' immersive retreat, weekly group programming, and individual partner meetings. Founders gain access to Pear's San Francisco office, dedicated recruitment support, and hands-on assistance with sales and customer discovery. Strategic fundraising support culminates in a Demo Day, connecting teams with top-tier investors.
