What 100x100 reports about its portfolio.
These counts come from 100x100's own announcements and website. They do not agree with each other, so the page gives the figure from its latest announcement and says where the others differ. The companies are ones the firm built itself, not programme alumni.

- First 18 months of close support, then follow-on through Series B
- Takes equity
What you get, who can apply and how to applyHide details
100x100 does not fund ideas or existing startups. It co-founds new climate companies in Southeast Asia and India, and looks for a repeat founder or experienced operator to lead each one. The firm helps shape the business before the founder starts, then backs it and stays close through launch.
What you get
- A business thesis backed by climate research, with emissions mapped and the model designed before you begin
- Capital from day one, so you can stop fundraising and start building
- Operators from the 100x100 team who work with you on one problem at a time
- A standard first investment, with more follow-on money once the product fits the market
- A lead co-investor at Series A, and the firm following on through Series B
- Support alongside you for the first 18 months
Who can apply
- A repeat founder or experienced operator ready to lead a new climate company
- No formal criteria are published for founders
- The company itself should show a large carbon market, a large commercial market, a compelling customer problem, room for good margins and technology that is ready
- The firm says it would like to see more women found companies
How selection works: The firm says it reads every submission and will reach out if there is a fit. It also finds founders itself by speaking to over a thousand experienced founders each year. It does not publish its selection steps.
How to apply: Fill in the short Build With Us form on the firm's website. It asks for your name, email, phone, location, LinkedIn profile and background, and why you want to work with 100x100. The form is open all the time, with no published deadline or batch. Enquiries can go to contact@100x100.com.
100x100 Fund II
FundThe firm's second fund, announced in June 2026, raised from institutional investors to build 50 more climate companies. Founders cannot apply to it.
Best for: Institutional investors. Founders should use Build With Us.
- Takes equity
What you get, who can apply and how to applyHide details
Fund II is the fund the firm is raising to build 50 more climate companies, after Fund I. It is raised from investors, not from founders. Its backers are expected to be development finance institutions and multilaterals, sovereign, pension and endowment capital, strategic corporates, family offices and climate funds.
The money goes into companies that 100x100 co-founds itself. There is no application round for founders and no pitch route for an existing startup. Founders who want to work with the firm should use the Build With Us form instead.
The firm's headline calls Fund II a launch, while the announcement text says it is still raising the fund. Investors get in touch through the investors page on the firm's website.

How to apply to 100x100
Check this is the right door
- 100x100 co-founds new climate companies. It does not fund existing startups, and it does not run a cohort or accelerator.
- The route for founders is Build With Us. It is aimed at repeat founders and experienced operators who want to lead a new climate company.
- If you already run a company and want funding, look at grants, accelerators and funds that take applications from existing startups instead.
- Fund II is a fund raised from investors. A founder cannot apply to it.
How the application works
- Fill in the short form on the Build With Us page: your name, email, phone, location, LinkedIn profile and background, and why you want to work with 100x100.
- The form is open all the time. No deadline, batch or fixed intake is published.
- The firm says it reads every submission and will reach out if there is a fit. Expect no reply if there is not one.
- The firm also finds founders on its own by talking to many experienced founders each year.
What the firm looks for
- Your own record as a repeat founder or experienced operator in the area you would build in.
- Interest in a climate problem where the market is large, the customer pain is sharp, margins can be good and the technology already works.
- Willingness to build a company the firm has helped shape and to give up equity for its day-one backing.
- The firm says it wants to see more women founders and has an internal aim for this, so women founders are encouraged to get in touch.
Before you apply
- Think about which climate problem you could spend a decade on, and where your experience gives you an edge.
- Be ready to work in Southeast Asia or India. The firm's pages differ on whether India is a main focus, so say clearly where you can build.
- Read the firm's thesis page and its Fund II announcement for how it picks sectors.
About 100x100
100x100 is a climate company builder and venture capital fund based in Singapore. It was launched by the team that co-founded Wavemaker Impact, and it co-founds climate companies in Southeast Asia and India. It does not run an incubator or accelerator batch, and it does not take pitches from existing startups.
How 100x100 works
The firm describes its approach in one line: it does not invest in ideas, it co-builds companies. The team starts the thesis itself, mapping emissions and choosing a market with a large carbon and commercial opportunity. It then looks for a founder to lead the company. The firm says it starts together with the founder, works out a white space, and spends the first months on the problem and then on the solution, following what customers tell it.
Once the company is launched, 100x100 backs it with capital from day one, in exchange for equity, and says it stays alongside the founder for the first 18 months. It then helps with further rounds, bringing a lead co-investor at Series A and following on through Series B, where it expects institutional investors to take over the lead. The firm says its companies can reach first revenue within the first quarter and at the very latest within the first year.
What the firm looks for
There are two sides to the selection. On the company side, the firm lists five signals: a large carbon market, a large commercial market, a compelling customer problem, room for good margins, and technology that is already ready. On the founder side, no formal criteria are published. The application page asks for repeat founders or experienced operators who are ready to lead a new climate company.
The firm also says it speaks to over a thousand experienced founders each year to find the right person for each company. It states that it would like to see more women found companies, is an active member of 2X Global and the IIX Orange Pledge for gender-lens investing, and sets itself an internal aim for the share of women founders it works with.
Where it works
The firm's homepage and page title describe it as a builder for Southeast Asia. Its application page and its Fund II announcement also name South Asia and India. In India, Subhadeep Sanyal, a partner based in New Delhi, leads the firm's presence, and its team page lists people in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Its portfolio page lists three active companies in India: Neoterra, Biora and Ecomet. A fourth India-based company, Elevate Foods, is marked as terminated. The firm's only published postal address is in Singapore, given as the contact for its grievance-redressal process.
Fund I and Fund II
100x100 grew out of Wavemaker Impact, the climate fund run by the same team. In October 2025 the team announced that it would spin out as an independent fund manager under the name 100x100 Group. That depended on a Venture Capital Fund Manager licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, which had been applied for at the time. The firm's pages do not say how that application ended. Some of its portfolio announcements up to March 2026 still say they come from Wavemaker Impact.
Its first fund closed in 2023, and the firm names backers that include the US Development Finance Corporation, Singapore's Economic Development Board, British International Investment, Triple Jump, Qarlbo Energy, JG Digital Equity Ventures, Kajima Corporation and Beacon Ventures. In June 2026 the firm announced its second fund, Fund II, to build 50 more climate companies. Its headline calls this a launch, while the text says it is still raising the fund. Fund II is raised from institutional investors such as development finance institutions, pension and endowment capital, corporates and family offices. A founder cannot apply to the fund. The way in for a founder is the Build With Us route.
Companies it has built
The firm's own pages give different counts of how many companies it has built. Its June 2026 announcement says 27 companies across eight countries, its homepage shows 28, and its portfolio page lists 23 Fund I companies, two of them marked as terminated. A separate October 2025 release says over 20. The firm says Fund I companies have raised follow-on funding from 16 external investors. The portfolio spans food and agriculture, energy, buildings, industry and land use, in countries including Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Australia and India. The firm also says its partners together have built 58 companies, invested in 73 climate businesses and realised 19 exits. These are the partners' track records, not the firm's own portfolio.
How to get in touch
Founders use the Build With Us form on the firm's website. The form asks for a name, email, phone number, location, LinkedIn profile and background, and a short answer to why 100x100. The firm says it reads every submission and will reach out if there is a fit. There is no deadline, batch or fixed intake. General enquiries can go to contact@100x100.com. The site also has a careers page for its portfolio companies' open roles.
100x100 is not 100x.VC, which is a separate firm, and it does not run an open call for existing startups.
