Programmes they run

Standing programmes at Accenture, separate from the funding calls above.

Accenture runs one publicly open programme for founders in India, and it is a once-a-year competition rather than a standing intake. Applying is free and takes no equity. The 2026 edition has closed; watch the challenge site for the next one. Accenture's venture-investment activity is separate and has no open application route.

An annual, free open-innovation competition for India-linked deep-tech startups that already have paid enterprise customers, with one winner in each of seven tracks.

Best for: Deep-tech startups with paid enterprise pilots or deployments already delivered, and an India base, Indian co-founder or India engineering team.

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

The Tech Next Challenge is Accenture's open-innovation competition for deep-tech startups selling to enterprises. The eighth edition ran in 2026 on the theme of enterprise reinvention through autonomous technologies; applications closed on 20 July 2026 and the Grand Finale was held on 12 August 2026 at the Accenture Innovation Hub in Bangalore, so the programme is currently between editions and no date has been announced for the next one.

There are seven tracks, each anchored to an Accenture business unit that takes solutions to enterprise clients: Cybersecurity (autonomous cyber defence), Digital Core (autonomous cloud and data), Finance (autonomous finance operations), Industry and Enterprise (vertical AI), Song (autonomous growth, marketing and service agents), Supply Chain and Engineering (physical AI, robotics and autonomous operations) and Talent (workforce autonomy). You apply to one track, and it determines which unit assesses you.

What you get

  • Winners are fast-tracked into Accenture and aligned to the business unit closest to their product
  • Go-to-market access to Accenture's global enterprise client base, with leadership mentoring
  • Priority consideration for client pilots, named contacts and solution integration across all seven units
  • Candidature for a strategic minority investment from Accenture, and a one-to-one meeting with an investment partner
  • Access to the Accel Atoms programme
  • Non-dilutive cloud credits for winners and invitations to the cloud partner's startup events
  • Inclusion in the NVIDIA Inception programme, with developer tools, preferred pricing and exposure to NVIDIA's venture network
  • All finalists, not only winners, get priority access to incubation at the Foundation for Science, Innovation and Development at IISc Bangalore, including office space and infrastructure subject to availability

Who can apply

  • Early or growth-stage startups building defensible, technology-led innovation — not seed-stage or ideation companies
  • Enterprise B2B products only; consumer and prosumer use cases are excluded
  • Solutions in autonomous AI, autonomous physical systems, autonomous infrastructure or autonomous operations
  • Headquartered in India, or with an Indian co-founder, or with established India operations or engineering
  • Paid engagements — pilots or deployments — already delivered to enterprise clients

How selection works: entries go through two rounds of evaluation led by senior Accenture leaders and subject-matter experts from the Reinvention Partner units. Shortlisted finalists pitch at the Grand Finale to a jury of CXOs, technology leaders and investors, and one winner is selected in each of the seven tracks.

How to apply: through the application form linked from every Apply button on the challenge site, choosing a single track. If another track also fits, say so in the form's second-fit question. There is no application fee and no equity commitment for applying.

Market access

The core of the programme. Winners are fast-tracked into Accenture and aligned to the business unit that takes their kind of solution to enterprise clients, with priority consideration for client pilots and solution integration.

Business advisory

Leadership mentoring from senior Accenture leaders and subject-matter experts from the business unit behind each track, plus a one-to-one meeting with an investment partner for winners.

How to apply to Accenture

Check the five gates before you write anything

The Tech Next Challenge states its eligibility as five conditions you must meet together, and the hardest one is traction. You need paid pilots or deployments already delivered to enterprise customers. If your revenue is from consumers, small businesses or a free pilot, this is not the right programme this year. Accenture says outright that it is not looking for seed-stage or ideation companies.

The other four are: deep tech with something defensible behind it, a B2B enterprise product, work that sits in autonomous AI, physical systems, infrastructure or operations, and an India connection — headquarters in India, an Indian co-founder, or established India operations or engineering.

Pick one track, and pick it by where the value lands

You apply to a single track, and each track maps to the Accenture business unit that would take your product to clients. Choose the one that matches where your product creates business value rather than what technology it is built on. A finance-operations agent belongs in Finance. A sales or marketing agent belongs in Song. A horizontal agent platform fits Digital Core or Industry and Enterprise. Anything that touches the physical world — robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones, embodied AI — belongs in Supply Chain and Engineering, even if most of your work is software.

If two tracks genuinely fit, apply to the stronger one and say so in the form's second-fit question. The evaluation team routes applications to the most relevant unit during shortlisting, so a reasonable choice is not fatal.

How selection works

There are two evaluation rounds, run by senior Accenture leaders and subject-matter experts from the business unit behind your track, followed by a finale pitch to a jury of CXOs, technology leaders and investors. One winner is chosen per track. Coverage of the 2025 edition described entries being judged on solution maturity, originality, market impact, team strength, business plan and competitive edge.

Write for the business unit, not for a generic jury. The people reading round one are the ones who would have to put your product in front of a client, so name the enterprise problem, the deployment you have already done and what it changed. Autonomy is the theme, so be concrete about what your system decides and acts on without a human in the loop.

How to apply

Applications go through a form linked from every Apply button on the challenge site. There is no fee and no equity commitment for applying. The 2026 window ran from 22 June to 20 July and is closed; the deadline was extended once, so if you are watching for the next edition, work to the published date and treat any extension as a bonus rather than a plan.

Worth knowing before you invest the time

Winning is not the only outcome worth having. All finalists — not only the seven winners — are offered priority access to incubation at the Foundation for Science, Innovation and Development at IISc Bangalore, along with network and investor introductions. Winners additionally become candidates for a strategic minority investment from Accenture, which means an investment conversation is possible after you win, never a condition of entering.

About Accenture

Accenture is a global professional-services and technology company. This page covers only the one part of it a founder can apply to in India: the Accenture Ventures Tech Next Challenge, an open-innovation competition run once a year from its own site. Nothing here describes the consulting business, and none of Accenture's corporate scale should be read as a track record for the challenge.

The challenge is not an incubator. It has no premises of its own, no residency and no rolling intake. It runs as a single annual cycle: applications open, two rounds of evaluation, a shortlist, then a Grand Finale pitch day. The 2026 edition was the eighth, themed around enterprise reinvention through autonomous technologies. It opened on 22 June 2026, closed on 20 July 2026 after a deadline extension, announced its shortlist on 3 August and held the finale on 12 August at the Accenture Innovation Hub in Bangalore. No date has been announced for a ninth edition, so a founder reading this today is between intakes.

How the challenge works

Applications are made on a single form linked from the challenge site, and you pick one track. There are seven, and each one is tied to an Accenture business unit — what the company calls a Reinvention Partner — that takes solutions to its enterprise clients: Cybersecurity, Digital Core, Finance, Industry and Enterprise, Song, Supply Chain and Engineering, and Talent. That mapping is the point of the format. Accenture says every finalist gets a direct path to the unit best placed to put their product in front of clients, so the track you choose decides who inside Accenture ends up reading your application.

Entries go through two rounds judged by senior Accenture leaders and subject-matter experts from the Reinvention Partners. Shortlisted finalists pitch at the Grand Finale to a jury of CXOs, technology leaders and investors, and one winner is picked in each of the seven tracks. The whole cycle takes about two months.

Who can apply

The eligibility bar is narrow and the site states it as five conditions you must meet in full. You must be an early or growth-stage startup building defensible, technology-led innovation. You must solve enterprise-grade problems — consumer and prosumer products are excluded by name. Your work must sit in autonomous technologies: autonomous AI and agents, autonomous physical systems, autonomous infrastructure or autonomous operations. You must have an India connection, which can be an India headquarters, an Indian co-founder, or established India operations or engineering. And you must already have delivered paid engagements — pilots or deployments — to enterprise customers.

That last condition is the one that rules most applicants out. Accenture says plainly that this is not a seed-stage or ideation programme, and the challenge is aimed at companies past validation that are ready for global enterprise deployments. There is no incorporation-type or state restriction beyond the India-presence test, no fee, and no equity commitment attached to applying.

What winners and finalists get

Winners are fast-tracked into Accenture and aligned to the Reinvention Partner closest to their product, with go-to-market access to Accenture's global enterprise client base and mentoring from its leadership. That comes with priority consideration for client pilots, named points of contact and solution integration across all seven units. Winners are also put up as candidates for a strategic minority investment from Accenture and given a one-to-one meeting with an investment partner, plus a route into the Accel Atoms programme.

The partner benefits sit alongside that: non-dilutive cloud credits from the cloud partner and invitations to its startup events, and inclusion in the NVIDIA Inception programme, which carries developer tools, preferred pricing and exposure to NVIDIA's venture network.

Finalists who do not win are not sent away empty-handed. All finalists get priority access to incubation at the Foundation for Science, Innovation and Development at IISc Bangalore, which is where office space and infrastructure come from, subject to availability. Note that the space belongs to FSID, not to Accenture.

Scale and recent editions

Accenture does not publish cumulative figures for the challenge, so there is no verified total of startups supported. What is on record is per-edition and mostly comes from press coverage. Reports of the 2026 edition put participation at more than 350 startups across the seven tracks. Coverage of the 2025 edition, themed on autonomous AI and judged at the same Bangalore venue, reported over 700 applications, 300 shortlisted and 15 finalists. Accenture's own 2019 announcement, when the programme ran under the Accenture Ventures Challenge name, reported over 370 entries. Treat all of these as reported participation counts for one cycle, not as a measure of startups Accenture has worked with.

Locations

The challenge has no office you can visit. It is run online up to the finale, and the finale itself is held at the Accenture Innovation Hub in Bangalore, which has also hosted recent editions. Contact details on the challenge site are the personal work addresses of two Accenture staff rather than a programme inbox, so we do not republish them here; use the site's own contact block if you need to reach the team.
