AIC ACE

AIC ACE is an Atal Incubation Centre based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, hosted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on its campus at Amritanagar, Ettimadai. Its legal entity, AIC – Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Foundation, is a Section 8 (non-profit) company, and it is supported by the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, Government of India and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.

What they support

The centre works with technology-driven founders at the earliest stages. Its pre-incubation support is aimed at researchers, students and innovators who have a strong technological idea and need a supportive ecosystem to turn that idea into a working prototype. Its incubation support is aimed at early-stage technology startups looking to enter the market, formalise their operations, and get strategic guidance and help with fund enablement. The centre describes itself as still building its inaugural startup cohort, so it does not yet report a portfolio of supported or alumni startups.

Programmes

AIC ACE describes two main offerings. The Pre-Incubation Program helps convert a technological idea into a functional prototype. The Incubation Program supports early-stage technology startups as they work towards the market and formalise operations, with strategic guidance and fund enablement. Both are open through an expression-of-interest route rather than fixed cohort dates.

Facilities and support

The centre runs a 14,000 sq. ft. facility with plug-and-play coworking areas, offering desks and meeting rooms meant to foster a community of founders building alongside one another. Incubated startups also get direct access to the Centers of Excellence of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, opening up academic research labs and specialised domain expertise.

How to apply

Founders register their interest through the expression-of-interest form on the AIC ACE website. The centre states that it is actively evaluating applications for its upcoming cohort.
