About BIOFAB Support Scheme
BIOFAB is the third rung, for teams that have already shown the science works and now need something that can be built, demonstrated and scaled.
What you get
- Reimbursement-based support for late proof-of-concept and prototype development
- Institutional guidance through the step from a working idea to a functional prototype or scalable model
- Access to the centre's laboratories and its prototype and biofabrication support
Who can apply
- Enrolled students of Dr. B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology, or a start-up already registered under the Bio Enabler Centre
- The idea must have completed early-stage proof of concept and be aimed at late-stage proof of concept or prototype development
How selection works: the proposal is screened, evaluated and approved by the designated screening committee and institute management. Work supported under the scheme must carry an acknowledgement naming the scheme and the institute.
How to apply: the centre publishes a separate application document for this scheme on its Bio Enabler Centre page. No intake window or deadline is published. Queries go to bibt@blalbiotech.com.
