About Innovator's Genesis Grant (IGG)
The Innovator's Genesis Grant is the second rung of the Bio Enabler Centre's ladder. It backs idea-stage work that needs to become a demonstrable early proof of concept, and it runs for up to a year.
What you get
- Reimbursement for prototyping, materials and testing
- Support for research and development work on the approved project
- Support for building and refining an early proof of concept
Who can apply
- Enrolled students of Dr. B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology
- Start-ups already registered under the Bio Enabler Centre at the institute
How selection works: the idea is screened and approved by the designated screening committee and by institute management before anything proceeds. As with every scheme here, no cash is disbursed — support is reimbursement-only.
How to apply: there is no separate published form for this scheme; the Bio Enabler Centre page carries the scheme's rules and an application button, and the centre is the route in. No intake window or deadline is published. Queries go to bibt@blalbiotech.com.
