Startup Incubation program
IncubationThe Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer initiated the implementation of the Startup Incubation program at IIT Delhi in 1999-2000.

The Institute’s incubation program aims converting technology-based innovative ideas into commercially viable products. It offers early investments in deeptech startups, ranging from 4 Lakh to 1 Crore for grants and 10 Lakhs to 1.5 Cr for debt/equity.
Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE 2.0)
Grant schemeSupports tech entrepreneurship through financial and technical support to incubators engaged in supporting ICT startups primarily engaged in using emerging technologies.
Pfizer provides a grant of Rs.3.7 crore to FITT for support to four CSR incubation projects and filing of upto 10 IPs for technologies in the pharmaceutical / healthcare sector.

About FITT
FITT, the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer, is the industry-academia interface organisation established by IIT Delhi and based on its Hauz Khas campus in New Delhi. It exists to connect the institute's research with industry, covering research translation, technology development, management of intellectual property, technology transfer and licensing, R&D collaboration, and startup incubation and mentoring. FITT manages the incubator programme at IIT Delhi and reports having incubated more than 150 startups in fields including biotechnology, health tech, software and engineering. It also handles sponsored and collaborative R&D projects aimed at developing proprietary processes, products, software, designs and algorithms, and commercialises IIT Delhi know-how on behalf of the institute. Its reported track record includes over 2,100 industry collaborations, more than 1,600 intellectual property filings, over 185 technology transfers and more than 500 training programmes.
