Ideaspring Capital is an early-stage venture fund in Bengaluru that describes itself as backing science and technology startups building global enterprise products from India. It says it leads investments, and that it started in 2016 on the belief that India could build deep-tech products and not only services.

Who Ideaspring backs

The fund says it invests at the early stage, where there is often only a prototype undergoing validation, often with no revenue, and sometimes no complete team. It looks for founders with deep science and technology expertise who are aiming at global markets. How Ideaspring works with founders

Ideaspring says its team has founded startups of its own and that it is one of the few funds with an in-house chief technologist, who helps portfolio companies with product, engineering and commercial validation. It also offers guidance on scaling, positioning and introductions to customers and investors, and it points to ties with IISc, the IITs and BITS and to an India to US corridor. Founders quoted on the site mention a Startup Assist programme for entering the US market.
