IIT Delhi Angels is the angel investor community for startups from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, based on the campus at Hauz Khas, New Delhi. Its site calls it the official angel network of IIT Delhi.

Who is in the network

The group brings together alumni, faculty and staff of the institute who invest in startups from the IIT Delhi community. The site says the network has 100+ investors, including VCs, founders and industry leaders. An investment committee and a small team run it, and a panel of advisors includes IIT Delhi faculty and alumni relations. Joining as an investor is open only to IIT Delhi alumni.

How the process works

Founders submit an application through the online form linked from the site. The community reviews the applications and shortlists startups. Shortlisted teams are invited to present at a monthly pitch day, where 2-5 curated startups pitch to the community. Selected startups are then evaluated further for potential investment. The network also says it offers mentorship and resources alongside funding, and its site shows mentorship sessions and news about IIT Delhi entrepreneurship programmes.
