Government funding schemes KIIF points founders to

KIIF keeps a funding page that sets out four government schemes and, for each, where to apply. It is worth reading it as a signposting page rather than as four KIIF programmes: only the GENESIS programme and the Gujarat student policy are applied for through KIIF's own forms.

Who can apply

• Startup India Seed Fund Scheme — startups with national startup recognition, incorporated less than two years ago, tech-driven, with majority Indian shareholding. KIIF says it is recognised by Startup India and implements this scheme, but its apply button sends you to the national seed fund portal rather than to KIIF.
• Student Startup and Innovation Policy, Government of Gujarat — students up to 35 at a Gujarat school, college or university, with an idea or prototype that has commercial potential and no funding for the same idea elsewhere. This one has a KIIF application form.
• Start-up Gujarat Policy — startups registered and substantially operating in Gujarat, with a registered office certificate from the state, not holding more than a tenth of another startup, and having completed one to two months of pre-incubation or incubation at a nodal institute. Applications go through the state's own startup portal.

How to apply: each scheme has its own apply button on KIIF's funding page. Check which destination it opens before you start, because two of them are not KIIF's.
