About this Opportunity

The MeitY GENESIS Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR) Program is a flagship initiative to strengthen the startup ecosystem in Tier II and III cities. KIIF, as an Enabling Partner, offers non-dilutive grant support, dedicated mentorship, and access to incubation facilities. The program is designed to help committed innovators and early-stage startups transform their ideas into a validated Proof of Concept or Prototype in key technology domains.

Eligibility

Must be an Indian citizen.
Must be from Tier II or Tier III cities.
Must be working on innovations at the stage of Ideation, Concept Development, Validation, PoC, or Prototyping.
Must be full-time UG/PG students with entrepreneurial pursuits OR founders/co-founders of DPIIT-registered startups (≤ 2 years old).
Must be committed to working full-time on the startup idea during the EiR program duration and must be physically incubated at the KIIF centre.
Must not have received external funding (including government grants) exceeding ₹10 lakh.
Must not have been previously supported under any MeitY scheme.

Application Process

Application Submission: Apply online before the deadline.
Screening: A Screening Committee (comprising academic experts, investors, IPR experts, etc.) reviews the application and documentation.
Selection: The entire selection process is completed within 30 days of the call closing.
Fund Disbursement: Up to ₹10 lakhs is released in two tranches: 50% upon onboarding/incubation and 50% upon achieving milestones (prototype), subject to Anchor Mentor recommendation.
