About BIRAC LEAP Fund

The Launching Entrepreneurs for Affordable Products fund is the step after SEED: capital to pilot and launch rather than to validate. It takes equity.

What you get

  • Equity-based investment for scaling up, pilot-scale production and getting the product ready for market launch
  • Market research, professional consultancy, and help with market strategies, business plans and supply chains

Who can apply

  • Indian startups registered under the Companies Act 2013, with at least 51% of shareholders Indian citizens (excluding OCI and PIO)
  • Two to seven years since inception, with a capable team
  • Working on biotechnology or life science solutions
  • Technology at readiness level 7 or higher
  • A previous round of grant or investment already secured
  • A clear scale-up and market-entry plan with positive revenue expected within twenty-four months after funding
  • Preference goes to ventures already generating revenue

How to apply: Apply on the programme page when the call opens.
