A flagship initiative by the Government of India aimed at fostering Innovation & supporting the growth of startups across the country. Provides financial assistance to early-stage startups, particularly those with innovative ideas & high growth potential. Funds aim to bridge gap between development & commercialization by providing funding support for prototype development, proof of concept, product trials, market entry & scaling up operations. Duration: 12 months for Grant and 3 years moratorium period for Debt/Convertible Debenture. Eligibility: DPIIT-recognized startup, incorporated not more than 2 years ago, with a technology-driven business idea, market fit, viable commercialization, and scope of scaling. Preference given to social impact, waste management, water management, financial inclusion, education, agriculture, food processing, biotechnology, healthcare, energy, mobility, defence, space, railways, oil and gas, textiles. Evaluation process described with stages: Eligibility Check (0-15 Days), Preliminary Screening (15-30 Days), iSMC Round (30-45 days).

KIIT Technology Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI) is a non-profit incubator established in 2009 at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Supported by the National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, KIIT-TBI has grown into one of India's most recognized startup incubators.
KIIT-TBI has nurtured 380+ startups, including 130+ women-led ventures, creating 5,000+ technical jobs. Nearly 50 portfolio startups have raised ₹1,300+ crore in follow-on angel and private investment. The incubator has onboarded 50+ industry partners and promoted 200+ manufacturing startups in sectors like biotechnology, electronics, digital health, cleantech, food & nutraceuticals, waste-to-value, and defence.
