Startup India SEED FUND Scheme

Grant scheme

Provides financial assistance up to INR 20 Lakhs in Grant and up to INR 50 Lakhs in Debt/Convertible Debenture for proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry, and commercialization.

A flagship initiative by the Government of India aimed at fostering Innovation & supporting the growth of startups across the country. Provides financial assistance to early-stage startups, particularly those with innovative ideas & high growth potential. Funds aim to bridge gap between development & commercialization by providing funding support for prototype development, proof of concept, product trials, market entry & scaling up operations. Duration: 12 months for Grant and 3 years moratorium period for Debt/Convertible Debenture. Eligibility: DPIIT-recognized startup, incorporated not more than 2 years ago, with a technology-driven business idea, market fit, viable commercialization, and scope of scaling. Preference given to social impact, waste management, water management, financial inclusion, education, agriculture, food processing, biotechnology, healthcare, energy, mobility, defence, space, railways, oil and gas, textiles. Evaluation process described with stages: Eligibility Check (0-15 Days), Preliminary Screening (15-30 Days), iSMC Round (30-45 days).

KIIT Technology Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI) is a non-profit incubator established in 2009 at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Supported by the National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, KIIT-TBI has grown into one of India's most recognized startup incubators.
