Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSInS) is the Government of Maharashtra's nodal agency for promoting innovation-driven entrepreneurship across the state. Operating under the Department of Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, MSInS supports startups at every stage from ideation to commercialisation through financial grants, mentorship, and access to incubation centres.
Key initiatives include the Maharashtra Startup Week (MSW), which identifies and showcases innovative solutions for governance challenges, with winning startups receiving direct government work orders of up to INR 15 lakh each to pilot their solutions with various government departments. The MSInS Seed Fund Scheme provides funding of up to INR 10 lakh to eligible startups. MSInS also funds and supports technology business incubators across the state, including NETRARIT Foundation TBI and RIIDL, to strengthen the broader innovation ecosystem and create a robust environment where startups, innovators, and researchers can thrive.
