Recognitions & empanelments
Official approvals this incubator holds.
Host Institute, MSME Innovative Scheme (Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises)
Listed at entry 207 of the Ministry's published List of Host Institutes for the incubation component of the MSME Innovative Scheme, as "Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya" (GWALLIOR, MADHYA PRADESH), checked 24 September 2026. This is the status that lets an innovator name the institute as their Host Institute when applying on the ministry's own portal. The list gives no approval date, no period and no status column, so whether the recognition is current cannot be told from it; and being listed is a capacity registration, not evidence that the institute has ever hosted an approved idea.

About Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya
The Centre for Agribusiness Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CAIE) is the incubator of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya (RVSKVV), the state agricultural university in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. It is a joint initiative of NABARD and the university, and it helps people turn agricultural ideas into working businesses. The centre is on Race Course Road, near the Mela Ground, on the College of Agriculture campus at Thatipur in Gwalior.
CAIE describes its role as helping entrepreneurs develop and scale sustainable agribusiness ventures through incubation, mentoring, technical guidance, infrastructure, business development support, market linkages and continuous handholding. It also works with FPOs on capacity building, value addition and market linkages, and with students on exposure to entrepreneurship.
How the programmes work
CAIE takes people in at several stages. Pre-incubation is for budding agripreneurs who want to start a business in agriculture and need help to refine and validate the idea. Incubation then runs in separate tracks: one for FPOs and farmers, one for students, graduates and budding agripreneurs, and one for corporates, MNCs, established entrepreneurs and business owners.
Across the incubation tracks the centre lists consultation from its incubation team, market linkages and business development support, hands-on help with business models, access to a network of technical institutions, introductions to accounting and legal firms, help with pitch decks, financial planning and detailed project reports, fundraising assistance, and access to laboratories and equipment.
Who can apply
The student and graduate track is for people starting an agribusiness. The FPO and farmer track is for farmer producer organisations and farmers. Corporates and established businesses have their own track. The centre does not set out further eligibility rules, so check the application form and speak to the team before you apply.
What support costs
For the student, graduate and corporate tracks, the first quarter of incubation support is free of charge. The centre says this may be extended to a second quarter, subject to approval. The centre does not say whether it takes equity or charges a fee after the first quarter, so ask the team about that before you commit.
How to apply
Apply through the Join CAIE form on the centre's website. Choose Join as Incubatee, then give your name, your company or FPO, your contact details, your area of interest and a short note about your idea. You can also call the centre on 0751 2484000 or write to caie@rvskvv.net.
Facilities
The centre lists conference rooms, meeting rooms, high speed internet, audio-visual equipment and co-working space. Some spaces are booked by the hour, the half day or the full day. The centre says the spaces suit training sessions, presentations and stakeholder meetings. Access to laboratories and equipment is listed as part of the incubation support.
Activity
The events page lists sessions held in 2026, including an entrepreneurship awareness outreach programme, a weekly startup spotlight, a legal and compliance session, a session on IPR and innovation protection, and an upcoming training programme at the centre in 2026. The incubatees page lists the companies the centre has taken on, among them Seed Wala Baba, Terra Glebe, Vishuddha Farms and Kishan Kart.
Who runs it
CAIE works with NABARD and the university. Its Project Monitoring and Review Committee oversees incubation projects and milestones. The committee reviews project performance, evaluates milestones and gives strategic guidance, so that activities stay aligned with the centre's objectives and its funding agencies. The committee includes the university's Vice Chancellor and senior officers from NABARD, the Central Bank of India and the centre itself. Day-to-day work is led by the centre's chief executive, with a nodal officer and a small admin and finance team.
