About this Opportunity

The MSME Idea Hackathon 5.0 is an initiative by the Ministry of MSME to foster inclusive innovation and address national challenges. It invites Indian citizens aged 18 to 60 years to submit innovative ideas under themes like low-carbon technologies, cyber defense, Industry 4.0 & 5.0 adoption, coastal/hilly area sustainability, and smart supply chains. Selected ideas receive funding up to ₹15 lakhs and incubation support under the MSME Innovative Scheme (Incubation Component) for nurturing the idea into a prototype.

Eligibility

Individual Applicant: Any Indian citizen aged between 18 to 60 years.
- For students, a Student Identity Card valid for FY 2025-26 must be submitted.
- For proof of age, a Government issued Identity Card (preferably Aadhaar) must be submitted.
MSMEs: Registered with Udyam Registration.
Others: Freelancers, Professionals, or Innovators.
- Ideas should have novel and innovative value, be useful to society, and be scalable.
- Ideas should aim to reduce cost, improve quality of life, provide convenience, or focus on clean & green energy.
Ideas not supported: Those infringing on novelty/originality, against established scientific theories/norms, or lacking novelty/originality.
