What it says it looks for

A real need, differentiation, market validation, early traction, and a team with conviction and a clear path to profitability. Show evidence for each rather than claims.

Keep expectations realistic

The site states no intake dates, timeline or response time. Treat the form as an introduction, and use the same time to approach healthcare accelerators and angel networks it says it works with.

SteerX is a healthcare-only venture fund based in Gurugram, run by SteerX Innovations Private Limited. It describes itself as India's first SEBI-registered Venture Capital (Angel) Fund dedicated to the healthcare sector, and says it was built by healthcare CXOs, founders, medical doctors and investors. It invests in early-stage healthcare startups, from pre-seed to Series A, and says it looks for teams with strong differentiation, IP and early traction, a compelling need, real market validation and the potential to scale.

The themes it names are innovative care delivery and service models, next-generation diagnostics and treatment, digital health and AI, smart and connected medical devices, biotechnology and life sciences, and healthcare fintech. Its startups page lists examples within these, such as telehealth, digital therapeutics, AI in radiology, remote patient monitoring, wearables, gene editing and health insurance technology. If you are building outside healthcare, this is not the right door.

Beyond capital, SteerX says it offers mentorship from experienced healthcare operators, access to hospitals, doctors and the wider industry for go-to-market work, and help with international expansion. It also says it co-invests alongside angel networks, family offices and VC funds, and works with healthcare accelerators and incubators. A panel of industry experts and venture partners from hospitals, pharma, medtech and digital health takes part in sourcing and diligence.

It asks for your startup name, founders and their LinkedIn profiles, a contact number, stage (idea, pre-seed, seed, pre Series A, Series A or growth), the problem you solve, the size of your market, the kind of support you want from SteerX, and a pitch deck link.
