ACIC-BMU Foundation is an Atal Community Innovation Centre established at BML Munjal University in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog. The centre promotes innovation and entrepreneurship within the university and surrounding community, with a particular emphasis on innovators in Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns across Haryana and North India.
AIM provides grants of Rs 2.5 crore over five years, matched by BMU with an equal contribution. The centre works with early-stage startups from idea to proof of concept, providing mentorship, access to university infrastructure including labs and centres of excellence, networking opportunities, and connections to BMU's industry partners. The focus is on creating entrepreneurs who are innovative, ethical, and committed to societal impact through their ventures.
Aspiring entrepreneurs at the ideation and prototype stage, especially women founders. One-third of identified startups are expected to have women founders. Students and innovators from the university community and surrounding regions in Haryana benefit from the incubation support, institutional resources, and structured mentorship programs offered by the centre.
