The BOSCH–BMU Innovation Challenge Cohort 2 is a collaborative initiative by BOSCH and BML Munjal University designed to identify and empower innovators, researchers, problem-solvers, and aspiring entrepreneurs working on next-generation sustainable mobility solutions. The second cohort expands the opportunity for individuals and teams to transform impactful ideas into scalable and industry-relevant solutions.
The primary objective of the program is to foster innovative solutions and digital advancements that promote sustainable mobility. The initiative focuses on enhancing mobility solutions for the masses, reducing environmental impact, improving road safety, and contributing to the reduction of accidents and fatalities. The program encourages practical, technology-driven interventions that align with evolving mobility ecosystems and environmental priorities.
Key thematic areas include connectivity, synthetic fuels and clean technologies, electrification, innovative brake systems, and inclusive mobility solutions tailored for persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and women. In addition, other innovative ideas and research initiatives related to sustainable mobility are also considered, allowing flexibility for breakthrough concepts beyond predefined categories.
Participants selected for the program receive structured innovation support and access to expert mentorship. The challenge provides industry-driven problem statements, enabling innovators to work on real-world use cases aligned with BOSCH’s technological priorities. Through guided mentorship and collaboration with leading industry experts, participants gain exposure to technical insights, validation pathways, and strategic direction necessary to refine and potentially scale their solutions.
The initiative is positioned as a platform for translating research and early-stage concepts into implementable mobility innovations. By bridging academia, industry, and entrepreneurship, the BOSCH–BMU Innovation Challenge aims to build a pipeline of sustainable mobility solutions that can contribute meaningfully to environmental sustainability, safety, and inclusive transportation systems in India and beyond.
