About Supply Chain Labs
Supply Chain Labs (SCL) is a supply-chain programme based in Gurugram, Haryana. It runs a fellowship for supply-chain startups and a fund that sits alongside it. The newest reports we found are from 2022, so confirm the fellowship is running before you plan around it.
What the fellowship offers
The fellowship selects a group of supply-chain-focused startups each year and gives them capital and expertise in the area, according to a February 2022 report in Inc42. The reports give two different sizes for that group. One passage says the programme selects 8 to 10 startups a year. Another says it selects, collaborates with and invests in 50 of the most high-potential supply-chain startups through the fellowship. We cannot tell which figure is current.
The reports do not describe the terms of the capital, how startups are selected, or what the application looks like.
Who can apply
Startups working on supply-chain, warehousing and logistics technology. Startup India's accelerator listing describes the programme as one for early-stage companies with technology solutions in those areas.
The fellowship fund
A stage-agnostic fund under the SCL name backs the fellowship. A stage-agnostic fund is not limited to one stage of company. Inc42 reported in February 2022 that the first close of its purpose-specific fellowship fund had been announced. The reports do not describe how the fund chooses companies or whether it invests outside the fellowship.
The 2020 accelerator
In July 2020, Lumis Partners said it would run a six-month accelerator under its Supply Chain Labs name. It was designed for early-to-growth-stage startups in warehousing and logistics, with the aim of making them scale-ready. The programme offered initial funding to each startup and larger top-up funding to a select few. That batch is closed, and nothing we found says the accelerator runs again.
Scale
The February 2022 report says the first two cohorts put 19 startups into the programme's portfolio. It also says that more than 80% of those startups have raised follow-on capital. These are the programme's own figures, carried by a news site, and they are more than four years old. We have not found a current count.
Who runs it
The reports do not agree on who runs SCL. The 2020 report names Lumis Partners. The 2022 report calls SCL an initiative of Lumis Partners and TCI Ventures, among others, and says it has been investing since 2019. Lumis Partners' own website lists Supply-chain Labs among its focus areas.
We could not confirm how SCL relates to Caret Capital, whose website the old supplychainlabs.in address redirects to. Confirm the current operator before you apply. The domain names supplychainlabs.in and supplychainlabs.com do not lead to a programme page.
Location
The 2022 report places SCL in Gurugram, Haryana. We found no street address for it.
Before you apply
Check three things first: whether the fellowship has an open intake, who runs it now, and how many startups it takes in a year. The sources disagree on the last of these.
