About TAcc+ (Taiwan Accelerator Plus)
Overview
Taiwan Accelerator Plus (TAcc+) is a next-generation international accelerator programme organised by Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) through its Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration (SMESA). The programme is executed by Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) alongside a network of accredited domestic accelerators.
Mission
TAcc+ has two complementary mandates: (1) strengthen Taiwan's domestic startup ecosystem by developing local accelerator capacity and validating cutting-edge ventures, and (2) attract international startups into Taiwan to plug them into the island's deep hardware, semiconductor, and manufacturing supply chains.
Focus Areas
TAcc+ concentrates on high-growth, hard-tech sectors where Taiwan has structural advantages:
- AIoT (AI + IoT)
- Smart Healthcare & MedTech
- Green Technology & Cleantech
- SpaceTech & Satellite Systems
- Advanced Manufacturing & Semiconductors
International SpaceTech Startup Supporting Programme
This is TAcc+'s marquee international cohort, open to global (including Indian) SpaceTech startups in satellite manufacturing, ground-station tech, launch services, downstream space data, and space-tech components. Selected startups get a 1-month immersion in Taiwan with visits to Taiwanese satellite manufacturers, IC fabs, and component suppliers; introductions to Taiwan's space industry consortium; co-development and pilot opportunities; and follow-on grant access through the Taiwan startup grants pool.
Benefits
Members can share TAcc+ startup grants and access fundraising and market-cooperation opportunities domestically and overseas. The programme is fully subsidised by MOEA — no equity is taken, and most cohort costs (travel, accommodation, programming) are covered.
Eligibility
International startups (3–10 years old typically) with a working product/prototype, looking to access Taiwan's hardware ecosystem or expand into the Asia-Pacific market. Indian startups in SpaceTech, AIoT, and smart healthcare are actively recruited.
Who Should Apply
Indian deep-tech founders — particularly in SpaceTech, hardware, AIoT, and semiconductors — looking for supply-chain access and Asia-Pacific market entry through a government-backed soft-landing programme.
