About TiE Ahmedabad

TiE Ahmedabad is the Ahmedabad chapter of the TiE entrepreneur network, a global community built around mentoring, networking and education. It runs four programmes of its own and sells membership to individuals, start-ups and companies. It is a membership and mentoring body, not a classic incubator, and its offer for funding-seeking founders is an angel group that is currently not taking applications.

What TiE Ahmedabad offers founders

The chapter's four programmes each serve a different group. TiE Ahmedabad Angels is an investment platform for early-stage to growth-stage startups, supported by GVFL. TiE Women is a global competition for women-led startups. TiE U is a 2-month accelerator for university students. TiE Young Entrepreneurs, called TYE, is a school-year programme for students of classes 9 to 12. The chapter also lists a flagship event and a calendar of networking events on its site.

TiE Ahmedabad Angels

The angel group says it funds early to growth-stage startups with strong founding teams and high-potential ideas, in any sector. Startups can be pre-revenue or revenue-generating, and startups from anywhere in India can apply. Applications are made through a form with a pitch deck, financial details, founder profiles, incorporation details if applicable, and product or demo information. Applications received by the 15th of a month are reviewed, and startups hear back by the 5th of the following month on whether they are shortlisted for the monthly online pitch. A core committee then decides whether a startup goes to a follow-up round. Being shortlisted is not a promise of investment, and startups may raise elsewhere at the same time. The group charges a success fee only if funding is raised through the platform. At the time of checking, the page said applications were on hold because of a large volume of submissions.

TiE Women Program

The TiE Women Program is a global competition for early-stage startups founded or co-founded by women who hold at least 33% equity, and that were registered on or after January 1, 2018. It offers an equity-free cash prize, mentoring, investor access and a series of online masterclasses, with chapter-level semi-finals and finals before the global rounds. The 2026 cycle closed to new applications on 30 June 2026, with the global finals later in the year, so check the page for the next cycle.

TiE U

TiE U is a 2-month accelerator for university students, both undergraduate and postgraduate. It brings speaker sessions and mentorship, a mock pitch, and a chapter final. The winning team goes on to represent TiE Ahmedabad at the TiE Global Summit. TiE U does not fund startups directly. At least one member of each team must join as a TiE Ahmedabad NxtGen member. Universities taking part in 2025 included Ahmedabad University, Nirma University, Gujarat Technological University, Parul University and Indus University.

TiE Young Entrepreneurs

TYE is a global programme for school students of classes 9 to 12. Students form teams, work through workshop modules on topics such as design thinking, rapid prototyping, lean canvas and presentation skills, and write a business plan with a senior mentor. The winning team from the regional competition can go to the global competition. The registration deadline shown for the latest cycle was 15th November 2025.

Membership

Associate Membership is open to all individuals, including professionals, students, start-ups and entrepreneurs, and runs for 12 months. It gives access to mentoring sessions, a member network, and free access to all TiE Ahmedabad events. Charter Membership is for established entrepreneurs and leaders who want to mentor and invest, and brings the chance to invest through the TiE India Angel Network. Institutional and corporate membership are also listed.
