Together Fund is a venture capital fund based in Bengaluru that backs AI-native startups in the US-India corridor. It describes itself as an operator-led, AI-first fund, started in 2021 by founders who wanted to be the kind of investors they wished they had. It has offices in Bengaluru, Chennai and Palo Alto.

Who it backs

Together Fund invests only in AI-native companies. Its site names horizontal applications, vertical solutions, healthcare, infrastructure and consumer products. It also backs deep tech at the edge of AI and hard science, including robotics, autonomous systems, semiconductors and quantum technologies, and says it welcomes defence and aerospace founders. It looks for early-stage companies, typically at seed and Series A, and says it makes 8-10 investments a year. It builds for global markets or uses Indian talent to scale abroad.

SwarmSpace: the programme side

SwarmSpace is Together Fund's community, AI studio and research lab for builders in India. It has three parts. The Community runs AI talks, roundtables and founder salons, and is open to founders, researchers, operators, open-source contributors, indie hackers and students. The AI Studio is a 12 weeks programme for selected startups, covering the path from idea to product-market fit and scale, with a US immersion included. The Research Lab does frontier AI research through hands-on programs and industry initiatives, but its page gives no programme detail yet.

How the AI Studio works

Selected startups receive flexible equity funding from Together Fund, so this is an investment and not a grant. They also get founder mentorship, credits from partner AI providers, research support, cloud and compute credits, and office hours. Dedicated office space is available in Bangalore and Palo Alto. Together Fund strongly encourages AI Studio startups to build from the Bangalore office, because that is where the community, events and founder salons happen. The Bangalore space is 5,000 sq ft in Indiranagar. The Chennai site is described as a deeptech garage for frugal innovation and full-stack experimentation.

Who can apply

The fund's gate is the product, not the founder's background: you should be an AI-first startup. The AI Studio is for exceptional AI founders. There is no stated requirement for incorporation, city or institution, but the fund focuses on the US-India corridor. The site publishes no application dates and no selection criteria; check the apply form for current intake.

Scale

On its own pages Together Fund reports 35+ portfolio companies and says more than 40% of them have had follow-on funding. These are self-reported and undated. Its listed portfolio includes Composio, Emergent, Hunar, Metaforms, Presentations AI, Runable and Wispr Flow, among others across applied AI, AI infrastructure and healthcare.

Who runs it

The fund describes itself as operator-led: every partner has built and scaled companies before becoming an investor. Manav Garg and Girish Mathrubootham are its co-founders and managing partners. Its team page also lists Lakshmi Shankar and Shubham Gupta as general partners.
