The BFI-BIOME & IIT Kanpur Bioinnovation Program invites innovators and impact-driven startups in healthcare innovation (medical devices, diagnostics, and biopharma) to apply for Cohort 2. This initiative aims to expedite the trajectory of healthcare innovators through two funding tracks: a Fellowship providing monthly support of up to ₹50,000 for individual innovators (6-9 months) and a Kickstarter Initiative offering grant support of up to ₹10 lakhs for biomedical startups. The program offers comprehensive support including access to IIT Kanpur's labs/equipment, workshops, skill development, networking, investor connections, and legal/IP support.

Startups registered in India within the last seven years, with minimum 51% equity held by Indian citizens, developing medical devices, diagnostics, or surgical technology with potential societal impact, at TRL 3 or higher, willing to incubate with SIIC IIT Kanpur, and having a clear commercialization roadmap.
