The IITK FinTech Spark Program is a flagship initiative by the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC), IIT Kanpur, designed to help students transform FinTech ideas into real startups.
The program focuses on nurturing early-stage FinTech innovations emerging from the IIT Kanpur campus and provides structured support from ideation to startup formation. Selected student teams receive funding support along with access to mentorship, laboratories, IP support, incubation facilities, and investor exposure.
Key focus areas include payments, lending, RegTech, InsurTech, financial inclusion, and cybersecurity in finance. The program follows a structured journey involving application screening, industry immersion, final pitching, and funding, enabling students to move from campus to company.

Each selected team receives ₹4 Lakhs in milestone-based funding, disbursed quarterly upon performance evaluation. Additional follow-on seed funding from the donor may be available, possibly requiring equity, depending on evaluation. Who can apply for the IITK FinTech Spark Program?
UG students (all departments) who completed 4th semester. Teams: 2–3 members.
Can students from any department apply?
Yes, students from all departments are eligible.
What is the selection process?
Application → Shortlist → Industry Immersion → Final Pitch → Funding.
How much funding is provided?
Each team gets ₹4 Lakhs (quarterly disbursement).
Support beyond funding?

Can we incorporate while studying?
