Who is eligible to apply for this scheme?

Jute Mill Companies or Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) units set up within India, actively engaged in manufacturing and exporting Jute Diversified Products, are eligible. The products must contain more than 50% jute content (or 33% in multifibres where jute is dominant).

How are the claims disbursed?

Claims are paid on a quarterly basis within two months of submission, provided all required documentation is complete. Payments for jute material and receipt of export proceeds must be made electronically or through banks; cash transactions are not considered.

Can I claim other incentives for the same products?

No, claimants must provide an undertaking to the National Jute Board that they have not availed nor will they avail any other incentive on the Jute Diversified Products production and exports for which this incentive has been claimed.

What happens if claims are found to be fraudulent?

Any unit found to have claimed benefits using false or fraudulent documents is liable to return the full amount of the subsidy received, along with interest at prevailing bank rates for commercial loans.
