आवेदन कैसे काम करते हैं

चयन कैसे होता है

• व्यवसाय की व्यवहार्यता और विकास की संभावना।
• तकनीकी सामग्री, रोज़गार, राजस्व, निर्यात या सामाजिक प्रभाव।
• उद्यम के प्रति संस्थापक की प्रतिबद्धता, और टीम की संरचना।

GIET University is in Gunupur, Rayagada district, Odisha. The Vidya Bharati Educational Trust established it in 1997 as Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology, and it now trades as GIET University. Its Innovation and Incubation centre encourages students and others to start ventures, and the university's pages link to a separate incubator, the ACIC GIETU Foundation.

How the incubator works

The ACIC GIETU Foundation incubates innovators and startups in ICT, digital technologies, engineering, cleantech, fintech, healthcare, agriculture, biosciences, food tech and social sectors. Admitted startups take a pre-incubation licence of six months. The expert committee can extend it by one year, case by case. The foundation says it has more than 80 domain experts and business mentors on call.

Who can apply

Admission is decided by an expert committee. The committee asks whether a business has significant technology content, employment, revenue, export or social impact potential. First-time entrepreneurs are accepted. The site does not say whether founders from outside GIET may apply.

Startup consultancy in association with GIET

GIET's website describes IncubateX as a consultancy that works in association with the university. It offers technical consultancy and skill development to startups, along with research support and short courses. IncubateX runs its own website, which lists incubation, market access and investment programmes. That site describes a separate organisation, so check which body runs a programme before you apply.

Facilities and E-YUVA

The university lists an E-YUVA Centre supported by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) under the Department of Biotechnology.
