आवेदन कैसे काम करते हैं

• Physical और Virtual Incubation के आवेदन IIITD-IC के ऑनलाइन application portal से होते हैं, जो हर कार्यक्रम के पेज से लिंक है।
• Physical Incubation की कोई निश्चित अंतिम तिथि नहीं है, यह साल भर आवेदन लेता है।

NIDHI PRAYAS क्या देखता है

• केवल proof-of-concept स्टेज। अगर आपका उत्पाद प्रोटोटाइप से आगे निकल चुका है, तो NIDHI PRAYAS आपके लिए सही नहीं है।

आवेदन से पहले

IIITD Innovation & Incubation Center (IIITD-IC) is a technology business incubator on the fifth floor of the Seminar Block at IIIT Delhi, in Okhla Industrial Area, Phase III, New Delhi. It works alongside IIIT Delhi's faculty, research scholars and its own portfolio of startups, and it is supported by the Department of Science & Technology (DST) as a Technology Business Incubator and PRAYAS Centre. It is also recognised as a G2Center under MeitY's TIDE 2.0 scheme, as an Incubation Center by the Government of NCT of Delhi, and as an incubator under the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme.

How programmes work

Most of what IIITD-IC offers is open to any technology or deep-tech startup, not just IIIT Delhi founders. Physical Incubation takes applications through the year, with no fixed intake window, and gives resident startups desk space, lab access and mentorship at the Okhla campus. Virtual Incubation covers the same ground remotely and opens once a year, for founders who want the mentoring, lab time and funding connections without relocating.

Earlier-stage founders who don't yet have a startup can apply to PRECUBE, IIITD-IC's pre-incubation track, to work on business-plan validation and idea refinement before deciding whether to incubate. One route is IIIT Delhi-specific: the Alumni Fellowship Program is open only to IIIT Delhi graduates who want to start a company, and pairs a co-working seat with mentorship and access to the incubator's prototyping lab.

IIITD-IC also runs a seed-funding programme, and administers NIDHI PRAYAS, a Department of Science & Technology scheme for turning an idea into a working prototype. NIDHI PRAYAS is for physical-product ideas only — the programme's own FAQ rules out pure software, e-commerce or app-based projects unless software is one part of a hardware product. A separate Entrepreneur-in-Residence programme, for founders validating an idea into a proof of concept, currently shows as closed on the incubator's site.

Who can apply

Physical Incubation and Virtual Incubation are open to startups in technology and deep-tech domains generally. The incubator's own materials name AI, cybersecurity, digital humanities, social sciences, data science, robotics and drone technologies as focus areas, alongside NIDHI PRAYAS's priority list of manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, clean-tech, energy, water and IoT. The Alumni Fellowship is the one track reserved for IIIT Delhi's own graduates.

Facilities

Incubated and pre-incubated startups get access to a Design & Innovation Lab for hardware prototyping, and IIITD-IC also refers to a fab lab and its wider technology labs as part of what founders can use while building. Alumni Fellowship participants additionally get office and co-working space on campus.

Track record

IIITD-IC names several startups it has backed. ScrapUncle, a doorstep-pickup service for recyclable waste, and AristaVault, a smart-utility-products D2C brand, both appear as testimonials crediting the incubator's financial and technical support, and separately as recipients under the NIDHI-SSP programme (under their registered company names, Swapeco Solutions and Arivation Fashiontech). Velmenni, a Li-Fi and free-space-optical technology startup led by Deepak Solanki, and Enord, which builds VR drone-training simulators and has supplied the Indian Army, are both described on the incubator's site as IIITD-IC startups. Grow Indigo, a soil-carbon-credits company, also has a founder testimonial on the site. IIITD-IC has reported making seed investments in SHS Retail Venture (which trades as Peore) and Climatech Environment, and has signed a memorandum of understanding with Max Healthcare.

Who runs it

IIITD-IC is governed by a board of four directors: Prof. Ramesh Loganathan, Prof. Pankaj Vajpayee, Mrs. Sapna Arora and Anupam Saronwala. Day-to-day operations are run by a small team led by Chief Operating Officer Navin Gaur and Chief Administrative Officer Naresh Sood, with consultants, a program manager and programme staff supporting them. The incubator also lists a roster of external advisors who mentor its startups.

Locations

IIITD-IC operates from IIIT Delhi's Okhla campus in New Delhi, and its programmes are named Physical Incubation, Virtual Incubation, PRECUBE, the Alumni Fellowship Program, NIDHI PRAYAS, the Entrepreneur-in-Residence Program and Seed Investment.
