About this grant
Early-stage startups in Jammu & Kashmir can get seed funding of up to ₹20 lakhs to validate a business idea and grow. The grant is non-repayable and equity-free. The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) is the nodal agency for startups under the J&K Startup Policy.
The funds help you validate product-market fit and build an MVP. They are disbursed in four installments. During the programme you also get JKEDI's incubator ecosystem, a mentorship network, industry connections, co-working space, lab facilities and administrative support. JKEDI's network also links you to government grants, bank finance and private investment.
Your startup must be registered on the J&K Startup Portal (startupjk.com) and recognised by JKEDI. A startup can get seed funding from JKEDI only once. The entity, or any partner holding more than a 49% partnership stake, must not have received seed funding under any JKEDI scheme before. You must not be a defaulter with JKEDI.
