What subsidy rates are available?

Subsidy varies by sub-scheme: protected cultivation (polyhouses/greenhouses) — 50% of project cost for units above 500 sqm; cold chain infrastructure — 35%–50%; post-harvest management — 35%; micro-irrigation — 45%–55% for small/marginal farmers. Planting material subsidies are also available for select crops.

Is MIDH a central or state scheme?

MIDH is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme implemented through State Horticulture Missions (SHMs). Applications are made at the state level; each state allocates annual targets and funds under the scheme. The benefits and focus crops may vary slightly by state.
