36Inc

Choosing the right route

36Inc runs open incubation for startups and for existing companies that want to scale, and separately hosts a MeitY TIDE 2.0 programme. Decide which fits you before you apply: general incubation if you are building a company from an idea or early stage, or TIDE 2.0 if you are an electronics or IT startup looking at that specific central-government route.

How applications work

For incubation, use the Apply for Incubation link on the 36Inc site, or write to the office. For TIDE 2.0, apply through the Apply Now control on that programme's page. The organisation's pages do not spell out eligibility conditions or intake dates in a way that could be read in full, so confirm the current round and what is expected of applicants with the team before you start.

What to prepare

36Inc backs founders across sectors, from health technology to drones and 3D printing, so lead with the problem you are solving and the stage you are at. Because the site does not publish detailed criteria, a short, clear note on your idea, your team and what you need from an incubator is a sensible first contact.

36Inc, which operates under the name AIC@36Inc, is a business incubator and accelerator based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. It describes itself as the first business incubator cum accelerator supported by the Government of Chhattisgarh, and it works with both new startups and existing companies that want to grow. It runs from City Centre Mall in central Raipur.

What they support

36Inc works across sectors rather than specialising in one. It helps founders take an idea towards a working business, and it also supports existing companies looking to scale. The support it describes includes mentorship, management guidance, funding support, co-working space and technological assistance. The teams it has backed have worked in areas such as health technology, drones and 3D printing.

Programmes

The core offer is open incubation, run from the 36Inc space in Raipur. Founders apply through the Apply for Incubation route on the organisation's site, or by writing to its office. 36Inc also hosts a MeitY TIDE 2.0 programme, the central government's Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs scheme, which founders apply to through the dedicated page on its site.

Track record

36Inc has run cohorts under the Startup Chhattisgarh banner. Its first batch brought together 30 startups working in fields such as health technology, drones and 3D printing. The organisation's own pages are the source for these figures.

How to apply

Applications for incubation are made through the Apply for Incubation link on the 36Inc site, or by contacting the office directly. The published intake dates and eligibility details are not stated clearly on the pages that could be read, so founders should check the current status on the site or ask the team before applying.
