NIDHI-PRAYAS

Grant scheme

Total Grant outlay up to Rs 1 crore.

Amrita TBI PRAYAS program will provide a grant of up to Rs 10 Lakhs per recipient.

MeitY Startup Hub Genesis Matching Investment Funding Program

Grant scheme

Startups can receive a matching investment of up to ₹50,00,000.

Through a 6-month acceleration program, Amrita TBI will help startups connect with and raise investments from venture capitalists and angel investors. For every investment raised from external investors, Amrita TBI (through MeitY Startup Hub) will match the amount up to ₹50 lakhs. Selected startups will participate in a 6-month acceleration program focused on scaling their business. The program concludes with a Demo Day, where startups pitch to an investor panel. If a startup raises funds during the program or on Demo Day, MeitY Startup Hub will provide a matching investment of up to ₹50 lakhs. The investment will be routed through Amrita TBI.

Accelerator

A fast paced program to help early stage start-ups evolve into successful ventures.

The startups can raise funding from invited external investors and Amrita TBI on the Demo Day. The total seed investment from Amrita TBI for the Top-3 startups is $100,000 USD.The startups Accelerator program is supported by Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog and NSTEDB, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Amrita TBI Accelerator program brings in both national mentors and international mentors from Silicon Valley with varied experience across multiple domains and sectors. They have been executives at Fortune 500 companies, built startups and products with local and global appeal. The program allows idea validation, iteration, building of customer development models, enhancing the business models and building a go-to-market strategy. In the end, the startup should be fundable-ready by Demo-Day.

Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS)

Grant scheme

Provides financial assistance to startups for proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry and commercialization.

Up to Rs. 50 Lakhs of investment for market entry, commercialization, or scaling up through convertible debentures or debt or debt-linked instruments. Up to Rs. 20 Lakhs as a grant for validation of Proof of Concept, or prototype development, or product trials. The grant shall be disbursed in milestones- based installments. These milestones can be related to the development of prototypes, product testing, building a product ready for market launch, etc.

NIDHI-Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) Programme

Fellowship

Provides subsistence grant to aspiring entrepreneurs.

The NIDHI-EIR Programme would provide subsistence grant upto INR 30,000 per month to an aspiring or budding entrepreneur of considerable potential for pursuing a promising technology business idea.

Competition

Platform to showcase ideas/products for funding with a total seed investment outlay up to USD 200,000.

You get the opportunity to meet venture capitalists, CEOs and top C-level executives from around the world who can provide instant feedback to your ideas and business plans. You will also have the opportunity to network with these executives for further guidance. Startups that qualify for seed investment will receive mentorship in crucial areas for successful market penetration.

About Amrita Technology Business Incubator

Amrita Technology Business Incubator (Amrita TBI) is a non-profit startup incubator supported by the Government of India and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, located at the Amritapuri Campus in Kollam, Kerala. It won the National Award for Best Startup Incubator in India in 2017 and is ranked among the Top 5 most prolific incubators by The Economic Times.

Amrita TBI can fund up to Rs 1 crore per startup and runs programs including an Accelerator, PRAYAS (for hardware startups), and an Entrepreneur-in-Residence program under the NIDHI-EIR scheme. The incubator has supported 208+ startups and worked with over 500 startup ideas across varying levels of IP maturity. It serves as one of ten Program Execution Partners under NIDHI-EIR from Kerala.
