EWOR

EWOR is a Germany-based founder fellowship and early-stage venture support platform founded in 2021. Run full-time by six entrepreneurs who have collectively built companies worth over EUR 12 billion, including SumUp, Adjust, ProGlove, and united-domains, EWOR identifies and backs exceptional founders with the ambition to build transformational companies. The platform is headquartered in Berlin and operates a virtual-first, hybrid model across Europe.

EWOR positions itself as an alternative to traditional accelerators by offering a fellowship model rather than a batch-based program. With an acceptance rate of roughly 0.1 percent (35 entrepreneurs selected from over 35,000 applicants annually), EWOR is one of the most selective startup programs in the world. Its emphasis on one-on-one mentorship from unicorn founders and its virtual-first approach distinguish it from conventional accelerators that rely on cohort-based, location-bound formats.

Programs and Initiatives

EWOR operates two tracks. The Ideation Fellowship helps founders get ideas off the ground, while the Traction Fellowship supports founders with established startups looking to scale. Each selected founder receives up to EUR 500,000 in investment, split as EUR 110,000 as an initial cheque and EUR 390,000 in uncapped investment that converts to equity in a later round. In April 2025, EWOR announced a EUR 60 million commitment from unicorn founders and global investors. Every company receives up to five hours per week of one-on-one mentorship from a unicorn founder, customized learning modules, and access to a network of more than 2,000 mentors, VCs, and subject matter experts.
