The MeitY GENESIS EIR Cohort-2 is a flagship initiative by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) to strengthen the startup ecosystem, particularly in Tier-II and Tier-III cities. The program, implemented by Amrita Technology Business Incubator, offers aspiring entrepreneurs a subsistence grant to support the development of a promising technology business idea. It aims to nurture and grow early-stage tech ventures, helping them transition from a mere concept to a scalable, market-ready startup.
The program provides a grant of up to ₹10 Lakhs over a one-year period. In return, entrepreneurs are expected to demonstrate commitment and performance by achieving targeted milestones. Non-performing participants may be terminated from the program, ensuring that the funding is used effectively to create a tangible impact.
