How to apply to Atal Incubation Centre
Choosing the right programme
- Check the stage first. The GENESIS EIR is for ideas to prototypes, while the GENESIS Pilot and Matching Fund are for startups with a product in the market.
- Check the location rule before anything else. Several GENESIS schemes require the startup to be registered in a Tier-II or Tier-III city.
- For the NIDHI-EIR, a full-time commitment is required, and final-year students are not eligible.
How applications work
- The GENESIS EIR and GENESIS Pilot schemes are applied for on the MeitY Startup Hub portal, not on the AIC ISB site.
- For GENESIS EIR, enter AIC ISB Association as your Preference 1 incubator. The preference cannot be changed after submission.
- For other programmes, use the application link on the programme page or write to contact@aicisb.org.
How selection works
- The GENESIS EIR has two rounds. AIC ISB checks eligibility and shortlists in Round 1, then shortlisted startups pitch to an evaluation committee in Round 2. MeitY Startup Hub approves the final list.
- Reviewers score the GENESIS EIR application across eight parameters, including problem-solution fit, technology readiness, team commitment and IP.
What reviewers look for
- A technology-led idea with a realistic plan for the EIR tenure.
- A founder or team that will be committed full-time and physically present at the ISB Mohali campus.
- For funding calls, proof of the product stage, and for the Matching Fund, funds that have actually reached the company's bank account from institutional investors.
