IIT Ropar Technology Business Incubator Foundation (TBIF)

IIT Ropar Technology Business Incubator Foundation (TBIF) is an independent Section 8 company formed in 2016 to host the Technology Business Incubator under the NIDHI TBI Scheme of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Housed in the M. Visvesvaraya Block at IIT Ropar in Punjab, TBIF caters to the incubation and mentoring needs of entrepreneurs from the institute and across the country.

TBIF runs flagship programs including Launchpad, which provides seed funding of up to Rs 10 lakhs to early-stage startups. Selected startups gain access to state-of-the-art laboratories, cloud stack infrastructure, co-working spaces, research collaboration opportunities, compliance and regulatory support, investor access, and expert mentorship. TBIF also organizes national initiatives like the Switch India Hackathon to identify and promote India's most promising deeptech innovators and startups.
